Is country on track to reach 100% of the population with safely managed water by 2030? The projections have been produced by the WASHwatch team, based on data from WHO/UNICEF's 2017 Progress Report on Drinking Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene using the average rates of progress between 2000 and 2015.
Progress on Drinking Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, 2017, Joint Monitoring Programme
The progress on Drinking Water, Sanitation and Hygiene report produced by the Joint Monitoring Programme in 2017 povided a baseline of data for the Sustainable Development Goals. To calculate whether countries will reach the SDGs the WASHwatch team used data from 2000-2015 to project coverage by 2030. This is available on the WASH maps.
